Throughout my thirty years of being a chef in London, Orlando, LA and Las Vegas. I have noticed throughout many cultures and cuisines that many cooks and foodies sometimes miss that little sweet spot of success, by simply not seasoning a dish correctly. This deflates the overall expectation of the dish and also your mood after spending time and good money creating something. I believe that my seasonings with their bold depth of flavour, can help elevate any beginner cook or chefs overall cooking experience and achieve that “wow” factor! This is what I set out to do, to help you find that *umami taste, and to become a more confident foodie, chef or home cook!

*Umami “A taste bomb that comes from the amino acid glutamate and other compounds”.

In basic English, think of umami as the fifth pleasant taste sensation, where it encompasses a savoury and meaty flavour. After other tastes such as sweet, sour and bitterness have been dissolved by your taste buds, Umami then kicks in and spreads the flavour sensation across the tongue, it lingers on your palate slightly longer than the previous tastes which have already been dissolved. So, “Umami - definitely not something to kick out of bed”!

Smoked Jalapeno Sea Salt

Our mild smoked jalapeno salt is so versatile, it pairs with almost everything! Simply apply it, like you would using salt and pepper!

The jalapeño chillies are smoked in oak wood for eight hours, then blended with sea salt. A sublime flavoured salt with a welcoming depth of mild chilli, with sweet & smoky sensations in the mouth. This fine salt is the Rolls Royce in gourmet refinement.

It is perfect for adding a smoky twist to that perfect steak, all other meats, fresh fish and roasted vegetables, as well as countless other dishes needing a boost. This salt is for anyone who enjoys smoky, chilli-forward flavours but still wants something usable for everyday use (rather than “only for the hard-core chilli fan”), this product hits a sweet-mild spot! Also a great addition to an “executive margarita”, with a jalapeno salted rim!

Smoked Habanero Curry Powder

Smoked Habanero Chillies in Oak Wood, then infused with Madras curry powder.

A flavour profile consisting of a comforting lingering heat of sweet habanero chillies, followed by the aromatics of the Madras spices. It’s one of those seasonings you buy not just for the chilli kick, but for the flavour journey it brings.

For anyone who enjoys heat plus layered flavour (rather than just "burn and go"), I'd say this is a hit. It's one of those seasonings you buy not just for the chilli kick, but for the flavour journey it brings.

I'd give it very strong marks - and say it's highly recommendable for adventurous cooks, BBQ fans, or anyone looking to bring new life to curry-style meals or grilled dishes. I made a delicious family curry using this spices.
